Weight loss can change a person’s life in more than one way
Her outreach will not only focus on one children’s home but try to assist different children’s homes in and around Mpumalanga once a month.

Jaen-Mari Blignaut weight loss journey has taught her to be mindful and compassionate to others.
At the beginning of the year, she made a New Year resolution to go on a weight loss journey to be healthy, and prepare to enter for the Mrs Mpumalanga Pageant.
Jaen-Mari solicited the help of 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan to help her. What she received through this journey was a lot more than she had imagined.
She has already lost about 11 kilograms in four weeks.
“I am feeling rejuvenated and vibrant. While on this journey, the 1:1 Diet team has revived in me my passion and spirit of giving back to the less fortunate,” said Jaen- Mari.
The 1:1 Diet encourages you to not only work on yourself and to be healthy and beautiful, but they encourage you to be mindful with everything you put into your mouth but also thinking about the multiple children that are going to bed hungry every night.
Supporting the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan challenged Jaen-Mari to get involved in community work, and especially feed any malnourished children in and around the area.
This is in line with her outreach program Million-A-Mission.
“The challenge was an easy one for me, as over the years I have been involved in various community work projects to honour the support, I get from 1:1 Diet, I decided to host a birthday party on March 10 commemorating my daughter Angel-Lee’s 11th birthday. Angel-Lee passed away in a car accident in 2019 and I saw it befitting as a golden opportunity to have her party at the New Life Children’s home in eMalahleni,” said Jaen-Mari.
New Life Children’s Home was established in 2016 and aims to provide a place of love, safety, care and Godliness to the most vulnerable members of society the orphans and children in need of care.
The home acts as a haven for these children. These children hardly have any opportunities.
“I helped them celebrate them and we handed out snacks and treats. Then The 1:1 Diet Programme donated healthy Fava beans to the home for the children to enjoy for the day,” said Jaen-Mari.
At the birthday party, there was two super hero’s that entertained the kids with the costumes sponsored by Ray de Koker from Ray’s Party Dress and a jumping castle sponsored by Thea from TJ’s Party Rentals.
Jaen-Mari will be embarking on a few more of these community activities in the coming months, as she has also entered for Mrs Mpumalanga pageant.
She would like the community to walk with her on this journey, by following her on the 1:1 Diet Programme on the YouTube Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVawWEe0aqrl1-WosQ7AxbQ.
“While you are supporting me, donate any food parcels to the needy as well. If you would like to get involved with my projects, you may contact me on jmblignaut86@gmail.com,” said Jaen-Mari.
Her outreach will not only focus on one children’s home but try to assist different children’s homes in and around Mpumalanga once a month.
“Donating to others will also start to help you to be considerate and mindful. As you think of those that go to bed hungry every night, you will see how abundantly you are blessed you are. This will also help you along your own life’s journey, like weight loss as you understand that you can eat less and choose the right food for yourself and others,” said Jaen-Mari.
Jaen-Mari continued; “However irrespective of your race or creed, we are compelled to do what we can do to help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged of our people in Mpumalanga and our country. Let us walk this road together and join me in making a difference in people’s lives. Show our compassion and get involved.”
Follow Jaen-Mari on social media or email her at jmblignaut86@gmail.com to contribute non-perishable food, clothing and whatever you can contribute to help the vulnerable.
She is in the process of registering a non-profit company “Angel Lee Foundation” that would assist and help with charity work.
Like Nelson Mandela said; “There can be no greater gift and energy to help others without expecting anything in return.”
