Cleaning campaign at hospital
According to the Department of Health, these healthcare association infections cost the health services an astronomical amount per year
Witbank High School personnel under the leadership of its principal Mr Oskin Usinga in conjunction with Emalahleni United Football Club mobilized a cleaning campaign at Witbank Hospital.
A cleaning project implementation was initiated on Easter Monday, April 5, where residents of eMalahleni teamed up to clean the yard and parking areas of the facility.
The men devoted their quality time and resources to ensure that nosocomial infections are prevented.
Cleanliness and hygiene are important in any public space, but in hospitals and medical practices, it is critical because the spread of germs can endanger individuals who are already at risk.

According to the Department of Health, these healthcare association infections cost the health services an astronomical amount per year.
The Emalahleni United Football Club and Witbank High School hope to partner with the local Waste Management Department to ensure an ongoing collection, to hold special events throughout the year, to encourage and allow residents to properly dispose of waste in our community.

This idea is encouraged to be further implemented in our clinics, schools, sports and cultural facilities.
Residents are invited to join hands going forward to reclaim the beauty and dignity of our Coal City.
