African Young Indigenous Leaders launch its Mpumalanga Provincial Structure

African Young Indigenous Leaders under the leadership of Nikiwe Bam of Ama Mpondomise Nation have launched its Mpumalanga Provincial Structure at eMalahleni Civic Theatre.

During the launch president Nikiwe Bam told WITBANK NEWS that this organization is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2016 by African young vibrant people who are passionate about their culture, heritage, indigenous systems, and their identity.

Nikiwe said the main objective of this organization is to restore peace and humanity amongst Africans and promote culture and heritage. She further added by saying that this structure aims at promoting the indigenous rules and kingdoms through community activities that empower leaders and society.

People were encouraged to respect and follow their cultures against all odds as well as respecting other people’s cultures. Nikiwe told people to learn from what has happened to the Ndebele activist Thando Mahlangu at Boulders Shopping Centre in Midrand last month, therefore she urged the people to unite. “Let’s unite and learn from each other so that we can bring practical solutions for the problems which we are faced with within our communities and under the jurisdiction of our tradition,” said Nikiwe.

Many people from different places attended the launch. Some came from other parts of Africa like Mr CJ Youmbah from Congo, Ms Fay Shao from Tanzania, the MP provincial organizer Clement Manfouo from Cameroon, and Prince Sisitwako ll from eSandleni Royal Residence Mpumalanga near the Swaziland border.

Prince Sisitwako ll said he is very pleased to see Africans united as one nation and he would like to thank Nikiwe for such a great initiative of uniting Africans and uplifting the spirit of traditional leaders.

“I love what I see and I hope that it won’t end here today. I also appreciate the youth for being part of this launch. It shows that there are still future leaders out there. Therefore now I would like us to pray for our kids who are out there on the streets doing drugs to change and go back to their roots, respect their ancestors and culture. I would like to further say that as Africans we must stop criticizing each other, but unite as one because we are all one nation. My skin colour should not determine me because under the auth we are all one; let’s unite like how our grandparents were united on April 27, 1994 in the first elections. Let’s unite like how we were united in the 2010 Fifa World Cup. I encourage everyone to participate in cultural events or activities,” said Prince Sisitwako.

During the launch people showcased their cultural dance, people watched different tribes performing and embracing their culture on stage, hence others were honoured with certificates for the great work that they do for their communities and one of those organizations was Aido Network South Africa, then later the South African National Anthem was sung for peace and unity.
