Ga-Nala shutdown continues, residents up in arms

This comes after residents of Ga-Nala (Kriel) are being evacuated from the land they are occupying at the moment

The shutdown in Ga-Nala (Kriel) continues. Residents said they are waiting for the Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni Tsipane to come and address their needs or else they will start protesting again.

This comes after residents of Ga-Nala (Kriel) are being evacuated from the land they are occupying at the moment.

Some of the residents want councillor Maggie Magagula to step down as their councillor.

On Tuesday, May 17 a resident told WITBANK NEWS that tyres are being burned by protestors and police are shooting rubber bullets at them (the residents) as they are being forced to vacate.

This, however, could not be confirmed yet.
