Be ‘pawsome’ and give a woof a happy home

Witbank SPCA’s adoption process is very simple and straightforward.

Love is a four-legged friend just waiting for a loving family to adopt it.

Witbank SPCA’s adoption process is very simple and straightforward.

Their adoption process is governed by legislation in terms of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 169 of 1993, thus certain rules and regulations have to be complied with.

All persons wishing to adopt an animal from a society shall do so in person and shall personally complete the necessary application forms, adoption, and sterilization contracts, after providing satisfactory proof of his or her identity.

After an adoption application form has been completed, an inspector shall conduct a pre-home inspection. This must be undertaken for all animals adopted from the society before the animal leaves the Witbank SPCA.

Adoption fees are R700 for cats and R900 for dogs. It includes the home inspection, sterilization, FIV/FeLV tests, microchipping, and follow-up visits.

Contact the SPCA on 013 650 2321.
