Water meters replaced and restored

The municipal water team responded with immediate action to replace all the stolen water meters on Friday, May 28

During the water shortage in Reyno Ridge and Ben Fleur last month, stolen water meters were adding to the crisis.

During the night of Thursday, May 27 a total of 18 stolen water meters were reported and given through by Sharon Schlachter, Freedom Front Plus representative of Ward 18.

The correct procedures were followed and reported to the municipal water team.

The municipal water team responded with immediate action to replace all the stolen water meters on Friday, May 28.

FF Plus Councillor Willie van Dyk said: “I want to thank and express my appreciation to the municipal water team. Our municipal technical department does their outer best under difficult circumstances to have problems solved and work been done properly. Keep up the good work that you are doing.”
