SPCA closed until Wednesday

All precautions are being taken and the building is being sanitised and disinfected.

The local SPCA will be temporarily closed until Wednesday, July 7 to protect the public from positive contact.

“Unfortunately we have a possible exposure at the offices. All precautions are being taken and the building is being sanitised and disinfected,” they said on social media.

All animal emergencies and animal abuse or neglect complaints will be attended to.

Adoptions and home checks will be on hold until Wednesday.

The drop boxes and receiving kennels at the main gate will be open 24/7 to receive strays, unwanted and/or injured animals.

Please hoot at the gate or call the numbers on the signs and a staff member will pass an admission form to you to be completed.

The main gate will remain locked.

“We thank you for your support and understanding. But we just have to keep the public and our staff safe at all times.”
