Suspect loses his hand in a struggle with victim
The Acting Station Commander of Vosman, Colonel One Thobejane has applauded the members on the arrest of the suspect and indicated that crime does not pay

A 38-year old suspect lost his hand while struggling with a victim he attacked while allegedly trying to rob him.
The victim told police that he managed to take a machete from one of the suspects and fought with him while the others ran away.
In the process, the suspect lost one of his hands and managed to run away while the victim screamed for help from the community.
The incident happened on Sunday, July 4 at Empumelelweni, Vosman.
The suspect appeared in absentia before Witbank Magistrate’s Court on July 7 facing a charge of business robbery.
The suspect is still in the hospital. According to the complainant he was at his business at the time of the incident.
As he went out for a moment to use the toilet facilities, with his return three men, armed with an axe and machete approached him, demanding money.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone belonging to the victim.
The suspects demanded more money from the victim.
While they were busy searching for cash, they started assaulting him with the side of the axe followed by stabbing him repeatedly.
Vosman Police members were dispatched to the scene.
Upon their arrival, the hand from one of the suspects was found on the scene.
