UPDATE – Be vigilant when travelling on the N4

People travelling on the N4 should be vigilant when passing these entrances, as well as the Mathews Phosa entrance to eMalahleni.

Road users travelling on the N4-highway should be attentive due to the ongoing protest unrest at various entrances on this route.
Information received is that protesters are starting to move in at the Vosman entrance to KG Mall and are trying to close the road.
“The police presence is strong and as the protesters are closing the roads, SAPS opens them again,” said Brig Lindiwe Ndlovu from Vosman Police Station.
According to a reliable source another vehicle was set alight at the entrance to Phola (Ogies).
The spokesperson from Trans African Concessions (TRAC), Ms Solange Soares Nicholson confirmed that the Kromdraai/Schönland turn-off at Ferrobank on the N4 is also closed at the moment.
