Frieda ‘Mzansi’ inspired to do more

The idea of a modelling agency came to her mind and in 2015 Frieda started the Phanda Mzansi Modelling Agency

While she was still celebrating being nominated thrice for the exceptional work she is doing to encourage and motivate young people, she has not stopped working.

Frieda ‘Mzansi’ Manana of Phanda Mzansi Modelling Agency has been working very hard among young people of Vosman making sure they are safe and avoid doing negative things in their lives.

The nominations came all at the same time and that should tell one that there is something different about her.

She has hosted different events in the past, such as beauty pageants, fashion shows, street parades and donating clothes to some of the informal settlements.

The most recent event she hosted was in Vosman on July 10 which was themed; ‘photoshoot in the wild’.

The idea of a modelling agency came to her mind and in 2015 Frieda started the Phanda Mzansi Modelling Agency.

She started with only 20 members, but the number has grown to 56, mostly young girls.

She has even opened another branch in Piet Retief which has about 20 members and hosted a successful beauty pageant there.

“I get motivated and inspired to do more for the young people under my care. To some of them, I’m like their parent. They share and they are open to me. The nomination came as a boost to me to do more. I feel happy at the same time because people are now realising and recognising my efforts. It shows that I’m doing something right for the children. I’m trying my best to change the lives of young people as they are the future of the country,” Frieda added.
