The Feed the Nation Foundation and Pick n Pay assisted in packaging the hampers and played a role in distributing the hampers

Pick n Pay in KwaGuqa along with the Feed the Nation Foundation donated food hampers to various schools in eMalahleni.

These donations were made early in July and children that received the hampers were identified by the schools.

Some of the children are solely dependent on assistance from the community.

The Feed the Nation Foundation and Pick n Pay assisted in packaging the hampers and played a role in distributing the hampers.

The Feed the Nation drive gave away hampers that are worth R350 each.

Siphendulwe Primary School received 150 hampers, Zacheus Malaza Secondary School received 200, KwaGuqa Primary School received 55 and Edward Matyeka Primary School got 42 hampers.

All the food hampers that were donated consisted of essential items such as maize meal, oats, baked beans, full cream milk, rice, sugar, cooking oil and more.

Learners and parents who came to collect their food hampers were delighted and overwhelmed with emotion upon receiving the items.
