During Mandela Month people spend 67 minutes giving back to their communities.
These 67 minutes represent 67 years of service Mandela dedicated to his country.
That was the reason officials from the Transversal Unit, Ms Trudy Xhala-Mavimbela and Ms Phindile Nkosi represented the executive mayor of eMalahleni Cllr Linah Malatjie in presenting food parcels to three groups of people in Phola Ogies.
The presentation was held on Wednesday, July 28.
The first group of people to receive were people with albinism who were presented with food parcels, cream, hats, blankets and dignity packs.
The next group to receive were the disabled people who received food parcels and blankets and the third group were the elderly people who also received food parcels and blankets.
The food parcels were from Transnet and Burzani contributed with the blankets.
All the groups thanked the office of the executive mayor and they say they will always put her, sponsors and her official in their prayers in making a difference in their lives.
Ms Maureen Mnisi representing Tholulwazi Centre thanked the mayor.
