As part of the Emalahleni Municipality Masakhane Campaign residents are encouraged to go and verify their municipal accounts. The campaign is also an effort to secure the active involvement of communities in governance and sustainable development.

The key strategic aim of the campaign is to:

  1. Mobilise the communities to support the campaign.

  1. Enhance levels of customer care,

  1. Increase responsiveness to consumer billing

  1. Review and implement cash and debt management strategies and practices

  1. Review and implement internal controls and delegations regarding financial management.

In that, the municipality invites the community to actively participate in the campaign, verify their accounts, pay for their services on-site and interact with the leadership and the officials of the municipality on Saturday, August 28 from 08:30 to 14:00 at the Highveld Mall (Edgars Court).

The municipality introduced a new statement portal recently. If you’re having challenges with the registration process, help will be available or if you don’t have an internet pin, this can also be obtained on Saturday.

Consumers are therefore encouraged to go and verify their accounts and pay for their services on site.

Speed point facility will also be available on site.
