Playing netball for charity
Netball teams donated sanitary towels for various schools in eMalahleni
Mahlatsi Nkosi and Antoinette Themba came with a brilliant idea to collect sanitary pads while playing games.

A netball tournament termed playing for charity was organised at the Ackerville Sports Ground on Saturday, September 11.

“We have requested all the participating teams to donate sanitary towels and we will in turn donate them to schools around eMalahleni. We are still organising with schools and to set the date. We started by organising warm clothes and this is our second event to donate to charity. We have realised that some girls miss out school because they do not have sanitary towels and this is the reason behind the programme,” said Nkosi.

She said they have challenges while organising the tournament but they were hopeful that the teams will come into the party.

Eight teams participated in the tournament and the teams were: Raising Stars, Real United, Dazzling Daisies, Real Ovies, Real United, Future Stars, KwaGuqa Nets and Seven Experience. READ MORE:
