Five suspects overpowered family at their home on smallholding
A family staying on a smallholding out on the Verena Road were held up by five armed suspects.
The woman alleged that she was at home together with her children, she went to the bathroom and by that time her husband’s cousin left.
The woman went to lock the doors, as she was about to lock the door someone pushed the door from the outside, five suspects pushed their way inside the house.
One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and pointed it at the woman.
The suspects then instructed the mother to go sit next to her children at the dining room table.
As one of the suspects kept guard over the mother and her children, the other suspects searched through the house.
The suspects then tied up the family and took various items from the house.
A case of house robbery was opened at Witbank Police Station and are being investigated.
