Suspect hits home owner with a crowbar

The suspects took cell phones and a wedding ring before leaving the house

A husband and wife had a rude awakening when they were woken up by unknown men standing next to their bed.

The incident happened on Saturday morning, October 23 at approximately 03:20.

The complainant and his wife were sleeping in their home, when they were woken up by a bright light shining in their faces.

There were two suspects standing in the bedroom, one on either side of the bed, hitting the husband with a crowbar.

The suspects were searching through the drawers looking for money.

The suspects took cell phones and a wedding ring before leaving the house.

A case of house robbery was opened at Witbank Police Station.
