Day of Portugal celebrated on Sunday

The day will be celebrated with good food, good friends and lots of laughs.

The Portuguese community loves to celebrate. Next on their agenda will be Portugal’s national day.

This day will be celebrated on Sunday, June 12 at the Portuguese Club.

The annual national holiday called Dia de Portugal honours the country’s customs, history, and culture.

The Portuguese see this day as an excellent opportunity to remember their roots.

The day will be celebrated with authentic Portuguese cuisine, good music, and friends.

“Come join us at our table and enjoy dishes like our famous Prawn Rissois, Peri-Peri Chicken and Codfish and last but not the least our traditional Caldo Verde Soup,” Mr Paul Manarte from the Portuguese Club invited.

There will be entertainment for the kids.

Cost is non-members R250 per person, members R200 per person, and kids under 10 years no cost.
