Man left tied up in cemetery after he was hijacked on the Bethal Road near eMalahleni

Keep an eye out for hijackers.

It seems like criminals are always out there looking for their next victims, so any time is tea time, so stay alert at all times.

This follows reports that a man was allegedly left tied up in a cemetery after being hijacked.

The incident is believed to have occurred around 16:45 on Sunday, July 17 when the victim was waiting for the traffic light to turn green on the Bethal Road near Duvhapark when he was suddenly hijacked by three men who were armed with firearms.

According to information received, three suspected jumped into the victim’s vehicle, pointed a firearm at the victim, and instructed him to drive on the Kleinkopje Road where at one time they stopped and took the man to a nearby cemetery where they tied him up.

The suspects requested the victim’s bank card pin and transferred money.

The victim’s car was recovered, and the suspects are being sought by the police.

Sergeant David Ratau advises drivers to be cautious when driving and to always lock their vehicle and keep the windows closed.

If you see anything suspicious while waiting for the robot to operate, you should drive past, but they don’t encourage reckless driving, and drivers must always be vigilant because it’s no longer safe.
