Your cellphone is not safe when you are walking along Main Street
The suspects are still unknown and luckily no one was injured.
It seems that robbers have no agenda when it comes to choosing a victim.
On the afternoon of August 10, it is alleged that a male victim was robbed of his cellphone whilst being pointed at with a revolver.
It is believed that the victim was at a garage situated on Main Street when he saw an unknown male drop a bundle of cash.
He picked it up and handed it back to the male. Upon doing his good deed, a second male approached him from behind and allegedly pointed at him with a firearm.
The suspected robbers demanded the victim’s phone and fled the scene.
The two unknown men fled in a red vehicle and a case of robbery with a firearm was opened at the Witbank Police Station.
The suspects are still unknown and luckily no one was injured.
