Man allegedly shoots ex-girlfriend and later kills himself in Lynnville

It is alleged that a male victim shot his ex-girlfriend and turned the gun on himself.

Vosman Police Station is investigating an attempted murder in Lynnville.
According to the report the shooting incident took place at Luthuli Street in Lynnville at around 05:30 on Monday, January 22.

It is believed that a female victim was preparing to go to work when her ex-boyfriend in his mid-thirties barged into her rental room, “an argument ensured between the two. The ex-boyfriend pulled a firearm from his waist and shot the victim in the left upper arm,” said Captain Vusi Mnisi.

He further alleged that out of panic, the ex-boyfriend ran out of the room, and jumped into the next-door neighbour’s yard where he turned the firearm to his head and shot himself.
