Investigations into the cases are under way as police hunt for suspects.
Witbank police are investigating three separate armed robberies in different parts of eMalahleni, where pedestrians were held at gunpoint and robbed.
Jackaroo Park ambush
According to the police, the first incident occurred on October 28 at around 16:30, when a man walking home from work was targeted while crossing a railway line through the bushes between Jackaroo Park and MNS.
The man alleged that three men appeared, blocked his path, and held him at gunpoint. They reportedly demanded that he surrender all his belongings before kicking him to the ground and robbing him of his cellphone and cash.
Klarinet mugging
In the second incident, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of November 1, a woman told the police that she had been walking to a friend’s house at Klarinet Ext 8 when two men appeared from nearby bushes and held her at gunpoint.
She said the men demanded her possessions and robbed her of her handbag, which contained clothes and cellphones.
