Ga-Nala murder suspect in court

According to Kriel Police the accused stabbed a 38-year-old man to death after an altercation.

A 33-year-old murder suspect appeared before the Kriel Magistrate’s Court after a stabbing incident.

 

According to Kriel Police Communications Liaison Officer Constable Angel Makubu, there was an altercation between the deceased and the accused ,“It is alleged that the fight ensued when the suspect threw something on the vehicle of the deceased,” Makubu said.

 

On Sunday, February 11 an eyewitness told the police that the suspect allegedly stabbed the deceased in the chest at around 19:30. It is believed that the witness went to seek help, but unfortunately he didn’t get it.

 

“The witness drove with the deceased to the police station to seek help, however, the deceased was declared dead outside the police station by Emalahleni Emergency Services. All role players were summoned to the scene,” Constable Makubu mentioned.

 

Kriel police followed up with the information that led to the arrest of the suspect on Sunday, 21:00. He then appeared in court on Tuesday, February 13.
