Eight suspects to appear in court for alleged possession of drugs

Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu, Vosman SAPS station Commander, urges the community to report any crime to the police, including drug dealing or possession.

Vosman police are serious about stopping drugs from hurting the community.

Eight suspects, aged between 27 and 38, have been apprehended in various areas of Vosman and KwaGuqa and are scheduled to face charges of drug possession before the Witbank Magistrate’s Court today (March 20).

Vosman Police Station spokesperson Captain Elizabeth Hlathi said, “Week in and week out suspects are arrested for drug-related crimes.”

The arrests come as a result of heightened police vigilance and collaboration with the local community.

Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu, Vosman SAPS station Commander, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking.

“Drugs are a thorn in the flesh of the community, especially the youth. Their lives are dwindling because of heartless individuals who value profit as opposed to life.”
