Two of the suspects allegedly involved in the gruesome case where the hands of 30-year-old Dumisani Mahlangu were brutally hacked off, appeared in the Witbank Magistrates court earlier today.
The suspects briefly appeared on Tuesday, April 30 and will remain in custody until their formal bail application hearing on Tuesday, April 9.
The accused face charges of attempted murder and kidnapping after allegedly kidnapping Mahlangu whilst he was walking along the Kromdraai road.
They allegedly accused Mahlangu of stealing a battery, and apparently after hours of interrogating him, they drove him into the bushes and allegedly severed off his hands with a panga. The incident took place on Wednesday, March 20.
