Sluice gates opened at Witbank Dam to accommodate more rain

The sluice gates are open to relieve water pressure after persistent rain.

The municipality opened four  sluice gates at Witbank Dam earlier to relieve water pressure after persistent and heavy rains.

They appeal to the farmers and small holding owners to be extra careful when the water levels rise, especially along the R555 Olifants River system.

84 Cubic metres of water per second is released.
