Man wounded in the eye and robbed of his scooter in Reyno Ridge

Two suspects allegedly injured a man and stole his scooter.

A man in Reyno Ridge marked the beginning of the new month with a horrific ordeal, as he was injured and traumatised after being shot in the eye, and criminals fled with his scooter.

The incident occurred on Monday, April 1, at 21:00.
According to the police report, the complainant claimed that while riding his scooter along Vulture Street, he was the victim of an alleged violent hijacking.
Two suspects allegedly came from the bushes and demanded his surrender, after which they allegedly robbed him of his motorcycle and shot him in the eye.

Captain Eddie Hall, spokesperson for Witbank Police Station, said, “Always be alert when driving. If you suspect that you are being followed by a suspicious vehicle, drive to the nearest police station or call the SAPS Emergency Number 10111. Increase caution at intersections; always keep a look out for people loitering around your car or for any sudden activity around your car.”
