Anglo donates school shoes to nine eMalahleni schools

This wonderful donation, that is part of a Back-to-School Shoe Drive project, assisted 561 learners in eMalahleni.

Anglo Inyosi Coal Community Trust (AICCT) has launched a Back-to-School Shoe Drive initiative, donating school shoes to nine schools in the eMalahleni region.

A total of 561 learners from Clewer Primary School, Johannes Kananda Primary School, Nancy Shiba Primary School, Besilindile Primary School, Phillip Ndimande Secondary School, F.H. Mkhabela Secondary School, Empucukweni Secondary School, Kromdraai Primary School, and Mapule Sindane Primary School benefited from this generous donation.

A representative from the AICCT, Zininzi Vitshima said, “With many families in eMalahleni facing financial challenges, providing school shoes can often be a burden beyond their means. AICCT recognises the importance of removing these barriers to education and is stepping in to make a tangible difference in the lives of these learners.”

The handover of the school shoes took place from Wednesday, April 17, with representatives from AICCT formally delivering the shoes to the schools.

“We as the AICCT pledge our commitment to assist the communities we serve through our project managers; we encourage community members and NPOs to submit proposals for community upliftment projects at our offices: Ennead House at 27 OR Tambo Road,” Zininzi concluded.
