Early this morning, a house fire broke out on Gemini Street in Reyno Ridge, causing extensive damage.

Ward Councillor Salomi Kriel said, “There were a lot of damages, followed by water damage to the rest.”

It is unclear what caused the fire today (June 11). The fire department has declared the house off-limits until an extensive inquiry is conducted.

The fire erupted in the morning, leading neighbours to immediately contact emergency services.

Responders were on the scene before the firebrigade arrived, working to manage the situation.

“The owners of the house are away on vacation,” Kriel said.
