‘Yesterday’s teenagers’ enjoy words of wisdom
The elderly were treated to a luncheon on Saturday
NG Kerk Witbank-Suid recently celebrated the church’s elders in style with a luncheon and words of wisdom and encouragement from esteemed guests.
The event on Saturday, October 19, was attended by guest speaker psychologist Boet du Preez, who encouraged the elders to enjoy life more as they age.
One of the event coordinators, Ds Robert Meintjies, shared that elderly people deserve to be treated.
“In our congregation and community, many elderly people are still very active. They also play a big part in sharing and showing their faith to the youth,” Meintjies mentioned.
He ended by expressing his gratitude to everyone who made this day possible on behalf of the congregation, “A lot of hours were put into this event, and may God bless everyone,” Meintjies ended.
