Department of Education urges community support for matrics ahead of results release
The wait is almost over for the Grade 12 Class of 2024 as they prepare to receive their National Senior Certificate Examination Results on Tuesday, January 14.

The Department of Education has urgently appealed to parents and the broader community to rally behind the Grade 12 Class of 2024 as they prepare to receive their National Senior Certificate Examination Results tomorrow.
In a statement, the department emphasised the importance of offering emotional support to these learners during this critical period.
The department acknowledged that receiving exam results can be a stressful and emotional experience for learners and encouraged parents and guardians to be available to offer comfort and reassurance.
“We commend you for your dedication and resilience throughout your schooling journey. Whether your results are as expected or not, there is always a path forward,” said Cathy Dlamini, MEC for Education.
The department also reminded learners that resources are available to help them cope with stress and anxiety.
MEC also encouraged parents to continue supporting their children, saying, “Together, we will ensure that no learner is left behind.”
“All the best to the Class of 2024,” said MEC.
