The Emalahleni Local Municipality recently expressed its gratitude to the Vosman Police Station for their prompt response in assisting two councillors who were victims of separate incidents last month.

Clr Sizwe Mathebula from Ward 17 was hospitilised following an altercation. He was stabbed with a sharp object on the left side of his abdomen. Fortunately, the suspect was arrested.

In another incident, Ward 11 Clr Victor Soko was carjacked, but fortunately, the vehicle was recovered.

The municipality commended the police for their swift action during a council meeting on February 27, encouraging them to continue their good work, and they received a certificate of appreciation.
