Emalahleni Municipality and Exxaro take ‘steps’ to help learners

Emalahleni Local Municipality and Exxaro partner to provide school shoes to learners.

Emalahleni Local Municipality and Exxaro have joined forces to bring joy to learners at Sibongindawo Primary School and Sibukosethu Primary School.

On April 22, they handed over much-needed school shoes to the learners, promoting access to education with dignity.

MMC for Environmental and Waste, Clr Nombuso Mokwana, led the handover ceremony alongside other municipal officials and Exxaro representatives.

The donation, sponsored by Exxaro, aims to address the basic needs of learners and support local learners by ensuring they have the essentials needed to attend school with confidence and pride.

The schools expressed heartfelt appreciation for the gesture, noting that the support would greatly benefit the learners.

The municipality commended Exxaro for its continued commitment to community development and encouraged other private sector partners to support similar initiatives.
