Local businessman left on edge following an armed robbery in store

A normal business day was turned upside down for a business owner in Hlalanikahle.

A business owner and a colleague fell victim to a robbery in Hlalanikahle.

The man told the police they were at his shop when five allegedly armed men approached him.

He said the men pointed firearms at them and robbed him of the cash he had in the store, his cell phone, and cigarettes.

The alarming incident occurred on June 21.

According to Vosman Police spokesperson Captain Vusi Mnisi, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident. He added that the police are continuing their efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Mnisi urged business owners to be extra vigilant, take note of their surroundings, and beef up their security.
