Elderly dies in alleged burglary in Lynnville

According to the Provincial Police Spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel, Jabu Ndubane, the man was allegedly caught trespassing on the property.

An elderly man, believed to be in his 70s, was found dead in the early hours in Lynnville today.

The incident occurred following an alleged attempted burglary at a residence near Vuma Combined School.

Hot water was allegedly poured over the man.

The man died on the scene, reportedly before he could receive any medical service.

According to Ndubane, the cause of death and the full details of the confrontation are yet to be officially confirmed.
