Victory Family Church women’s ministry gather to paint with purpose

The initial inspiration was a cross with flowers, but the ladies wowed it up with their personal individual touch.

It was all excitement and upliftment as the Victory Family Church women’s ministry came together to paint and praise.

On June 5, the ladies gathered for one of their frequent sessions in which they do different activities that build relationships among themselves. Following an exciting prayer board session they had previously, this time they had artist Yvanke Botes, who led them throughout a painting session.

“I’m so passionate about painting, and I’ve been painting for most of my life,” Yvanke said.

Excited to try a new skill and also portray their victory in Christ, the participants all worked hard to paint a cross with flowers, as their session was also themed “Women in Victory.”

Pastor Adriani van der Lith, senior pastor of the church and leader of the women’s ministry, also taught on the theme, highlighting the importance of women in the church and the community.

While all participants agreed that they had a great time together, exploring painting and also gaining knowledge, pastor van der Lith expressed her joy in seeing the ladies come together and work toward a shared goal.

“The best part was seeing how every lady’s personality came through on their painting. Each one was unique,” she said, further adding that the session went extremely well and they will host it again in the near future.

“I want to thank everyone who attended and those who helped to make the day a huge success, especially our artist, Yvanke,” Van der Lith concluded.
