Expect traffic delays on the road that leads to Laerskool Kragbron and HTS

Expect traffic delays on Christiaan de Wet Street as the pipeline project, which necessitates the road closure, gains momentum.

Parents were stuck in traffic for longer than usual today due to a road closure at a primary and a high school in Die Heuwel.

Christiaan de Wet Street is closed as construction to supply water to Klarinet and Siyanqoba is underway.

“Due to the high traffic volumes on Christiaan de Wet Street, we strongly urge all motorists to use alternative routes. Congestion is expected to be severe, especially during school and work peak hours,” said Lebo Mofokeng, municipal spokesperson.

The municipality stationed traffic control on site at Christiaan de Wet and Rose-Innes Streets, adjacent to Laerskool Kragbron, and at Christiaan de Wet and Danie Theron Streets, near HTS.
