Suspected poisoning under investigation after man dies

According to the police, they suspected poisoning as the family pointed out traces of a substance believed to be a poison.

A suspicious death is currently under police investigation after a parolee was found dead with signs that point to possible poisoning.

The incident occurred in Hlalanikahle, on September 2 midnight.

According to the police, they were called to a crime scene involving an inquest. When they got to the scene, the deceased’s family led them to where the body of the man was.

“We noted that foam was coming from the deceased’s mouth,” said Vosman SAPS spokesperson, Captain Vusi Mnisi.

It was also confirmed that the deceased was under correctional supervision at the time.
An inquest was opened, and the police investigation is still underway.
