Woman attacked in Highveld Park – dogs beaten to death
At one point, there was a conversation between the robbers about whether the woman should be stabbed in the neck or not.

A night of terror unfolded for a woman from Highveld Park when she was tied up, assaulted, and her dogs beaten to death in front of her.
The woman, who wishes to stay anonymous, said she heard a noise in the early hours of October 9 and got up to investigate.
She was confronted by four unknown men who had managed to gain entry to her house.
The men forced her back onto the bed and tied her hands and legs.
“One suspect reportedly used a screwdriver to stab her, while a second beat her repeatedly with a steel object as they demanded cash,” police spokesperson Captain Eddie Hall said.
In an effort to save herself, the woman told the attackers she would give them money if they untied her legs so she could walk.
She went to her cupboard and gave the attackers R15 000 cash.
Despite getting the money, the attackers continued to beat her and demanded more money.
The attackers turned their attention to the woman’s small dogs and beat two of them to death.
The third dog survived.
The suspects made off with the woman’s white Hyundai iX35, a laptop, and a cellphone.
“We are deeply concerned about the recent surge in criminal activities in our areas. The disturbing incident has highlighted the need for increased vigilance. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident, as there have been previous home invasions. In light of these incidents, we would like to remind everyone of the importance of community awareness and cooperation. We encourage all residents to report suspicious activities,” said Frik van Dyk, chairman of Highveld Park.
“To facilitate communication, we recommend downloading the Zello app and reporting any suspicious activities, said Annemarie Bouwer from the SACCW.
