NG Kerk’s sports event delivers excitement and prizes

The top three runners were awarded monetary prizes, together with the medals, which were awarded to all the participants.

Panorama NG Kerk recently brought together athletes from different sports clubs for a sporting session that not only entertained but also earned them some awesome prizes.

The event on November 15 follows a successful and well-received fun run that was introduced last year during the church’s annual market.

“The support was really incredible, and we saw the need to continue having the fun runs,” Hettie Terblanche from Coaldust Running Club said.

However, making it special from the previous one, this year’s event featured not just the 4.9km fun run, but also a 10km run that afforded athletes a chance to compete for prizes.

The top three runners were awarded monetary prizes, together with the medals, which were awarded to all the participants.

“The day went very well and the runners really enjoyed themselves,” Hettie said, adding that the next run will be even bigger and better as they’ll also add a 21.2km.
