SAPS suggests thinking twice before putting yourself in a situation that may pose a safety risk.

A man’s hitchhiking trip turned into an armed robbery, leaving him without his cellphones, wallet, and some money.

According to the police, the incident occurred on January 7 at around 10:30.

The man was at a hiking spot along the R104, trying to hitch a ride, when a car stopped to offer him a lift.
