Tributes pour in after sudden death of young woman

Meat and Fish will be closed on Friday following the death of Micaela de Abreu. They will reopen on 17 January.

The community is mourning the sudden, heartbreaking loss of Micaela de Abreu, who passed away at the age of 26.

She died on January 11.

A close family friend, Rocco Moolman, described Micaela as a sunflower that lightened up every room she entered.

Micaela’s warmth and spirit touched many, and the outpouring of grief from those who knew her tells how much she was loved.

In honour of Micaela’s life and to allow staff and friends to pay their final respects, Meat and Fish will be closed this Friday for her funeral service.

The community is invited to keep the de Abreu family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time as they prepare to say their final goodbyes.

Micaela is the daughter of Angie and Martin de Abreu, the owners of Meat and Fish.
