Hertzog held an Interhouse to select teams that will represent the school in upcoming athletics competitions.
Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog recently hosted its interhouse athletics, dividing learners into teams that competed among each other to mark the beginning of the athletics season.
The sports event on January 16 saw learners from teams Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, and Blue competing against each other to see which team would represent the school against other schools.
According to Nodine Buchan, marketing assistant at the school, they will only be having two home athletics events this season, with the rest being away games. However, they remain positive and confident, as the young athletes show excellent discipline and behaviour.
“We are kicking off with a good year so far,” Nodine said. She further commended the good and talented athletes they have.
“We truly have some talented athletes, both current and new learners. We are very much looking forward to this season,” she said.
