Nkangala Athletic Academy starts 2026 on a winning note

A winning start to 2026 as Nkangala Athletic Academy athletes dominate the Old Medal 10km.

Nkangala Athletic Academy (NAA) has kicked off the 2026 athletics season with a strong and encouraging performance at the first Mpumalanga road running event of the year, the Old Medal 10km, hosted by Midack Athletics Club.

The race delivered outstanding results for the academy, with Lucky Tsotetsi claiming first place, followed closely by teammate Nkosinathi Skosana in second position. In the junior category, Lesigo Mabaso emerged victorious, while Emmanuel Mabaso secured an impressive fourth-place finish, further highlighting the academy’s depth of talent.

The academy extended its appreciation to their sponsor for generously covering the entry fees for the winning athletes, a gesture that contributed to the team’s successful start to the year.

NAA coach Emmanuel said, “This performance shows that NAA is still going strong. Our athletes remain focused, disciplined, and hungry for success as we build toward the track season.”
