Man tragically dies in water tanker

The man's family was inconsolable, and his girlfriend broke down when she saw his lifeless body.

A routine ‘piece-job’ turned fatal this afternoon after a man lost his life while working inside a water tanker.

The man was painting the interior of the water tanker when the incident occurred.

His co-worker, Thabo Mange, said he checked on his friend periodically throughout the day and became alarmed when he did not hear his friend inside the water tanker.

He immediately raised the alarm and called for assistance.

Mange, who had been checking on his friend periodically throughout the afternoon, became alarmed when the workspace fell silent.

Upon realizing something was wrong, he immediately raised the alarm and called for assistance.

The man, whose identity is withheld until he was formally identified, was declared dead on the scene by paramedics from Bophelo Ambulance Services.

A full investigation will be done to determine the cause of the man’s death.
