A local teen vocalist and MC, Esona Enica Ntshonga (18), is building a name for herself in the music industry, and she just returned to the studio to rock a different genre: Amapiano.

The upcoming star is set to release an EP, and she is working on it daily. Esona believes that a local award-winning artist, known as Smezi, is the reason behind her win.

She praised him for allowing her to start her music career.

According to Esona, she is pushing boundries of Amapiano as she has already recorded two singles for her very first Amapiano project. In making the major milestone come into life, Esona collaborated with Prince Martin, who helped her elevate her music to new heights.

“I’m grateful to Smezi for introducing me to Prince Martin and to Mporizer for featuring me on my upcoming tracks,” said Esona. Emaphasising that their record label has been nothing but incredible supporters.

Esona is now committed to releasing her four-track EP, titled ‘Uthando Luka Mama,’ a Zulu phrase translating to ‘Mother’s love.’
The EP will be released before the year’s end, and Esona will announce the dates as soon as she finishes recording.

The teen remains focused on fueling her creative spark to craft innovative sound for the new year.
