Strong turnout as Nkulo Trust brings development program to Lynnville
The session focused on empowering local organisations with insights on funding, business development, and community upliftment.
The Nkulo Community Partnership Trust, in partnership with Thungela Mine, hosted a well-attended education and awareness program at the Lynville Community Hall in Ward 17.
The initiative on December 11 focused on need-based community development, with key emphasis on funding opportunities, business start-ups, and broader economic empowerment.
After successfully rolling out similar sessions in the Steve Tshwete and Govan Mbeki municipalities, the program continued its mission in eMalahleni.
Local stakeholders, including business owners, nonprofit organisations, and community members, filled the venue to engage with information aimed at strengthening community-driven development.
A trustee from the Nkulo Community Partnership Trust reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to uplifting communities surrounding eMalahleni, highlighting ongoing collaborations with partners such as Zibulo in Ogies and Thungela.
“We are hosting an activation in your area as part of our drive to engage local organisations during the Trust’s current call for funding proposals,” Mpumi Sithole, the trustee, explained.
Attendees were encouraged to apply for funding that supports projects in:
· Education and skills development
· Health, welfare, and social orientation
· Local economic development
