SAPS investigates culpable homicide after man’s body found next to railway line

The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unknown.

The Witbank SAPS is investigating a case of culpable homicide following a tragic discovery of a man’s lifeless body on the R555 Old Ogies Road.
According to the police, on December 14 at 06:00, the officers who were on duty received a complaint that a person had been found deceased by a security officer next to the railway line.

Upon arrival, they found the man’s lifeless body and a car that was proven to belong to the deceased.

The vehicle was reportedly blocking the way.
A case of culpable homicide was opened, and the police investigation is still underway.

The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist in shedding light on the circumstances leading to the man’s death to come forward.
