Lynnville Industrial Park breaks ground, paving way for local economic growth

Lynnville Industrial Park development promises jobs and business opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

The sod-turning ceremony for the Lynnville Industrial Park marked a significant milestone in the region’s economic development, with the project set to bring tangible benefits to the local community.

The Emalahleni Local Municipality implemented these in collaboration with Thungela and other stakeholders.

The initiative aims to empower residents through improved business infrastructure and increased economic participation.

The park will feature 15 light industrial workshops, providing space for small businesses and local entrepreneurs to thrive in sectors like manufacturing, repairs, and services.

Thungela Social Performance Regional Manager, Linda Dludlu, Greenside General Manager, Dawid Taljaard, Speaker of the Council, Clr Nombuso Shabangu, and Mayor, Clr Vusi Nhlapho.

Essential municipal services, including water, electricity, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure, will support a conducive business environment.

During the event on March 17, the mayor, Clr Vusi Nhlapho, said, “This development represents a meaningful investment in our community, aimed at creating opportunities, supporting local enterprises, and ensuring access to critical infrastructure. All companies and individuals interested in participating will be selected through the municipality’s portal, ensuring transparency and fairness in the process.”

It is also anticipated that the development will create employment opportunities during both the construction and operational phases, delivering both immediate and long-term benefits to the residents.
