U15 and U17 Ezinambeni Glencore Qualifiers finalists confirmed

The U15 and U17s from local teams battled hard for a spot in the Ezinambeni Glencore Qualifiers finals last weekend.

The Ezinambeni Glencore Qualifiers delivered a competitive day of action this past weekend as teams battled hard for a spot in the finals.

The competition on April 12 saw a series of four tight matches between local teams. In the U15 semi-finals, One Goal FA faced Painkillers FC and secured a 3:1 win, while Young Aces FC had a hard-fought draw of 2:2 with the Stars of Mpumalanga and dominated with a 5:4 win on penalties.

On the U17, Future Stars SC had a 1:1 draw with the Stars of Mpumalanga but secured their win on penalties, while Blackburn Rovers FC dominated with a 1:0 win against Young Aces FC.

As a result, the U15 finals will see One Goal FA competing against Young Aces FC, while the Stars of Mpumalanga and Blackburn Rovers FC will face each other in the U17 finals.


“Everything went very well, and the boys showcased their best skills in the field. We are looking forward to the finals,” said Vusi Kabinde, chairperson of the Ezinambeni Development League.
