Tasbetpark learners ready to take on the best at South African School Cross Country Championships
Laerskool Tasbetpark learners are ready to take on the national championships.
Three Laerskool Tasbetpark learners will represent Athletics Mpumalanga at the South African School Cross Country Championship at Curro Midrand on October 3.
Provincial success
This follows standout performances at the Mpumalanga School Cross Country Championships in Secunda on September 12, where Qakazile Ntebe took first place in the girls’ U12 3km race to earn a gold medal. Thabang Mashiloane finished second in the boys’ U12 3km race, while Letago Motsepe secured second place and a silver medal in the U13 4km.

National finals
The learners will form part of a strong eMalahleni contingent heading to the national championships, joining other local athletes from the city of coal, including runners from Nkangala Athletic Academy.
The school said: “From provincial glory to national greatness, huge congratulations to our incredible athletes who competed at the Mpumalanga Provincial Cross-Country Championships. Your hard work, determination and dedication have truly paid off. We are incredibly proud of you, and now nationals, here we come.”
